Medina Loop
April 27, 2013
Departing from Medina at 9:00 AM. Returning to Medina: 5:30 PM.
Boarding starts approximately 30 minutes prior to departure.
Times approximate and may be adjusted the day of trip.
In cooperation with the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway, we are pleased to offer the all day, 150-mile ”Medina Loop”. This excursion will depart from Medina in Medina County and return to Medina.
The trip will depart from 623 West Liberty Street, Medina, Ohio 44256 and then proceed west to Spencer and beyond toward New London on the former Akron, Canton and Youngstown line. Reversing direction, we will turn south at Spencer and continue on through Lodi, Creston, Smithville, Orrville, Brewster, Navarre, Canton. Hartville, Mogadore, Akron, Copley and back to Medina.
An optional box lunch will be offered to Premium Coach and Coach passengers for an additional $7.00 charge. A meal is included with First Class Tickets. The ORHS concession car will also offer food and beverages. Your Box Lunch must be purchased with your ticket order. The deadline for purchasing tickets with lunch is 5 PM, April 21, 2013. The deadline for purchasing excursion-only tickets is 5 PM, April 26, 2013.

National Train Day Celebration

The National Train Day Celebration in Orrville, Ohio. There will be train and track car rides at 245 McGill St. The Depot and Gift Shop will also be open and other historic sites in Orrville may be open for tours.
Tickets available trackside the day of the event only!
ADULTS: $2.00 per ride.
CHILDREN (12 and Under): $1.00 per ride.
Orrville Railroad Day
August 10, 2013
12:00 Noon - 4:00 PM
The Depot and Gift Shop will be open with displays, train layouts, food, and entertainment. Tickets for the Orrville Autumn Express and Riding with Santa will be available at the ticket office.
Train, track car rides and other events are at the siding on McGill Street. Train and track car rides are about 15 minutes long.

Orrville Autumn Express

In cooperation with the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway, we are pleased to offer our 120 mile, five-county circular “Orrville Autumn Express”.
The trip will depart Orrville and head southeast through Brewster, Navarre, Canton, Hartville, Mogadore, Akron, Copley and prior to our arrival in Medina we will cross the impressive River Styx Trestle. You will disembark for a three-hour stopover at The A.I. Root Candle Co. & West Liberty Commons where many passengers enjoy shopping.
Leaving Medina, we’ll head west to Spencer, turn south and proceed through Lodi, Creston, Smithville and return to Orrville.
An optional buffet style lunch consisting of two pieces of roasted chicken, red skin potatoes, green beans, roll with butter, cake and beverage for an additional $10.00 per person will be offered. Your lunch must be purchased with your ticket order. The deadline for purchasing tickets with lunch is 5 PM, October 4, 2013; 5 PM October 11 for excursion-only tickets.

FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! The ORHS will be hosting our annual “Jumpin’ Pumpkin Jamboree”. Join us for one mile round trip train and track car rides on the ORHS siding to Orrville Junction and back. Train and track car rides will begin at 12:00 noon with the last ride at 4:00 PM. The train and track cars will be leaving from and returning to the McGill Street boarding area. The Depot and Gift Shop will also be open.

Riding with Santa
November 30 and December 7, 2013
Our 1-1/2 hour “Riding with Santa” round-trips from Orrville are in conjunction with our Annual Holidays at the Depot. The train departs from 245 McGill Street and return there. During this 40 mile round trip Santa will move through the train to visit with each child and collect their Christmas list. Each child receives a gift bag. Our concession car will be available for light snacks and gift items. Groups who wish to be seated together must purchase their tickets at the same time with one payment.There are no group rates for these trips. Our coach cars accommodate approximately 50 people.
Tickets are non-refundable.
The train cars will be decorated for the season. The ORHS concession car is available for passengers who wish to purchase snacks, beverages, and souvenirs.
Departure times are 10 AM, Noon, 2 PM and 4 PM
COACH: Adults: $30 Children (12 and under): $20
FIRST CLASS: $43 (all ages, seating limited)

Holidays at the Depot
November 30 and December 7, 2013
10:00 AM until 6:00 PM
The Depot will be open and decorated for the holidays. There will be refreshments, depot displays, raffle items, and a working train layout. The Depot Gift Shop will be open.
